Saco River Chronicles: Serengeti Mara

John Wood came by SRC-TV to discusses his time spent living in East Africa and his experience filming in the Serengeti with Shep Abbott. This film, shot during 1975 and 1976, documents the culture of the Maasai people and the mighty wildlife who both call the Serengeti home. Currently the proposed development of an 800 mile highway from Lake Victoria to the African coast threatens the Serengeti ecosystem. John addresses this issue, its implications and his time spent on the plains of East Africa.
